Soul Gift revue features some of the finest players in Blues, Soul and R&B! Raphael Wressnig and Deitra Farr have been collaborating a number of times. Deitra’s favourite instruments are the Hammond organ and the saxophon. So the team of Raphael Wressnig on the B3 and „Sax“ Gordon on saxophon and vocals supporting the powerhouse chicago blues lady is explosive and yet elegant. Raphael Wressnig has become one of the most sought after players and is touring all over with his groups and his recordings have been celebrated by critics around the world. 6 times blues music award nominee „Sax“ Gordon has no trouble ripping up any audience. With their loyal partners, star guitarsist Enrico Crivellaro and Silvio Berger on the drums, they can cover a lot of ground. Downhome blues, sweet soul and funk.

Deitra Farr is considered one of Chicago ’s top vocalists. Fiery, energetic, and soul-stirring describes this woman, who has over the years been nominated for Traditional Female Blues artist of the year by the Blues Music Awards, Female Blues Artist of the year by the Living Blues Critics Awards, the British Blues Connection Awards, and the Les Trophees France Blues awards. When Deitra was 18 years old, she recorded the lead vocals on Mill Street Depo’s record ” You Won’t Support Me “. That record was a Cashbox Top 100 R&B hit in 1976. Over thirty years later, that recording has been rereleased and is popular again worldwide. In 1983, Deitra began her blues career working at the major Chicago blues clubs, such as The Kingston Mines, The Wise Fool’s Pub and Blue Chicago. She also toured the US and Canada with the Sam Lay Blues Band. From 1993 to 1996, Deitra was the lead singer with Mississippi Heat, recording two CD’s with this all-star group. In 1997, Deitra resumed her own solo career, continuing to sing blues, while reaching back to her soul music roots. After recording on eight previous CD projects with others, she recorded her first solo CD, “The Search is Over”, for the London-based JSP records. In 2005, Deitra released her second JSP CD “Let it Go!” Deitra toured Europe with the 2000 Chicago Blues Festival with Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials. In 2003, Deitra completed a six week British tour with Otis Grand and Bobby Parker, as the American Festival of the Blues II. She did the 2004 Chicago Blues Festival European tour with Jody Williams and Andrew “Jr. Boy” Jones. From 2006-2010 Deitra has toured with The Women of Chicago Blues project with Zora Young and Grana Louise.

“Sax” Gordon is one of the most exciting and in-demand performers carrying on the great tradition of American Rhythm & Blues Saxophone, both in studios and in clubs and concert halls worldwide. With astonishing ability and virtually unmatched energy, Gordon brings rocking sax workouts, swinging classics, gutbucket Blues, and deep ballads alive like no other player on the scene today. The 6 time blues music award nominee has worked with “Guitar” Murphy, Jay McShann, Jimmy Witherspoon, Luther “Guitar Junior” Johnson, Roomful of Blues, Solomon Burke, Kim Wilson, Junior Watson and he’s played on over 100 CDs, LPs and 45s, recording with many of the legendary performers of classic Blues, Jazz, and R&B, such as Jimmy McGriff, Pinetop Perkins, Rosco Gordon, Champion Jack Dupree, Billy Boy Arnold, Charles Brown, Jimmy McCracklin and many more.

Enrico Crivellaro is considered to be one of the most gifted young guitarists today. He has been a student of Ronnie Earl, Duke Robbilard and Kenny Burrell and has been touring with James Harman, Lester Butler of the Red Devils, Jeff Healey, Janiva Magness, Finis Tasby, Brian Templeton, Bruce Katz, the Royal Crown Revue (the band from “The Mask” movie), and legendary harmonica player Lee Oskar. He has been signed by the Canadian Electro-Fi label and released “Key To My Kingdom”, “Mojo Zone” and “Freewheelin’” as a leader.

Throughout the years Raphael Wressnig has created a unique organ style that is both elegant and explosive. He has established himself as one of the top musicians of organ players on the international jazz and blues scene. Over the years Raphael has toured and played with some of the best known and respected blues players in the world including: Phil Guy, Louisiana Red, Larry Garner, Sugar Blue, James Armstrong, John Mooney, Steve James, Matthew Skoller, Deitra Farr, Zora Young, Billy Flynn and Sharrie Williams. He has also played with some of the finest jazz players on the scene: Horacio “El Negro“, Craig Handy, Jim Mullen, Pete York and Harry Sokal. In 2012 he released „Soul Gift“. The album features Deitra Farr, Tad Robinson, Alex Schultz, Kirk Fletcher and „Sax“ Gordon and has become a favourite of many critics, magazines and fans around the globe.
